The church has a program to teach the Latin missionaries English. We taught them how to cook a hard boiled egg. They heard the lesson in English and then in Spanish and then in English again. Even the North Americans learned a few things.
We have been very grateful for the telephones this past weekend. It has been a busy time trying to help our special missionaries from Chile to get word about their families. We know all the parents are fine, but there are some siblings that are not yet located. Our prayers are with our missionaries and their families.
These are the shoes I bought. I can not wear them outside my home while as a missionary, but I will when I get home. The fabric is made by the Kuna women and then they sell it to a company in Bogota and they make them into these delightful shoes. No two shoes are alike because the fabric is always different. Not even the two shoes with in a pair are alike.
